A huge thank you to all the couples and families who I have worked with since I began this photography business in 2004. It has been wonderful working with all of you and making so many friends through my work.

Isn’t my nephew handsome? He was just a little guy when Jake and I got married (he was our ring bearer way back then) and look at him now! We met up last Sunday here in Hastings and found some fun spots around town for senior pictures. Here are a few that caught my eye as I was going through them:
Look what popped up on my Google Alerts today!
One of the editors from Shutterfly contacted me a few months ago. They had seen my Year In Review album that I made for mom last year in their gallery and wanted to feature it on their site. I thought it would just be a picture of my album on the front page of the gallery section with a link or something, but they actually did an interview with me and everything. Click on the image above to go to the Shutterfly webpage and there is a whole article there. So fun! I was actually surprised to see it on there today because I didn’t think it was going to be up there for another couple months, but it was a happy surprise! I’ve been dying to share this and now that it’s online I can. 🙂
In the beautiful morning light, I met Heidi and Kyle at the hunting lodge for some belly pictures. As we drove down the lane, deer scurried away into the woods. It was a gorgeous morning with everything glowing so pretty and golden. Kyle was able to stay for a few before he had to head to work and then Heidi and I took a bunch more of her alone. Well, just her and the baby. 😉 Here’s a little peek at a few more from our morning.
we had fun playing with shadows! 🙂
This is one of my favorites!
A little sneak peek of my maternity session with Heidi this morning. Got up bright and early and caught the gorgeous morning light. Can’t wait to go through the rest and share more. 🙂
The photo session I had planned for Sunday, October 5th in St. Joseph has now been changed to Holland. I still have availability for a few more sessions that evening, so please contact me. It will either be at the State Park or Tunnel Park. It’s only a few weeks away, so call (616.822.7586) or email to get on the schedule.
I’ve been meaning to do a “walls” post for a while now. my sis-in-law Heather just sent me a shot of the pictures above their fireplace, including their favorite shot from the wedding in a gallery wrap canvas that Jeff surprised Heather with for Christmas and one from their engagement session at Tunnel Park in Holland.
Shannon + Brett’s wedding a year ago in April was such a fun day! They were a great couple and we had such an awesome time at the Van Andel Museum reception. Here are a few pictures from the wedding displayed on these cute shelves in their home.
In June, Lesley and Anthony had their wedding ceremony at Lesley’s parents home and while there taking pictures of the girls getting ready, I had to snap this picture of the living room wall. Lesley’s mom had all these prints from the family session I did for them last fall along with a couple from Lesley and Anthony’s engagement displayed so nicely. I’m totally inspired to someday do a photo display like this in my home.
If I photographed your wedding, family, baby or engagement this year, show me your walls, too!
I’m really excited to visit some friends in Naperville, Illinois at the end of this month. On our last day there, I am taking some family pictures for my friend Heather at the Riverwalk in Naperville and I am available to do a couple more sessions that morning before we head back to Michigan.
If you live in the Naperville area and are interested in having some family, engagement or senior pictures taken on Sunday morning, September 28th, please contact me for more information.
Come join me in St. Joseph on Sunday, October 5th, for some fall fun!
I will be doing a photo session in St. Joe on October 5th and I’d like to schedule 2 – 3 more while I’m in town that day. Please contact me if you’re interested in family, senior or engagement pictures. Hopefully the fall colors will be beautiful that weekend.
Going through Sarah and Joel’s pictures has been so much fun. They are so cute together and we had such a great time that day. Here is their slideshow with more highlights from our day at the beach.
Rachel’s Baby Shower, Zeeland, MI. Rachel is so beautiful pregnant. So cute with her little baby belly. It was so great to see her family and spend the afternoon with them on Sunday celebrating the little boy who’ll be arriving in a month. I’m sure I’ll soon have pictures of the little one to share.
Also fun to have three of my brides together!
I photographed Rachel’s wedding in July 2004 …
… and her sis-in-law Julie’s wedding in the fall of 2004.
Then in February 2007, Becky married Rachel’s brother Jeff.
