how you live

Listening to the new Point of Grace while working. I absolutely love this song. The lyrics are wonderful and beautiful and so true and I had to share this with all of you today.

Have a blessed day!

I was really excited when Annie told me where they would be getting married. She told me Harbor Springs is one of their favorite places. I have been looking forward to exploring there and nearby Petoskey ever since. Harbor Springs is a beautiful place for a wedding. It was my first time visiting that area and it will definitely not be my last. The day turned out just perfect. After some rain the night before and a forecast of a chance of rain on Saturday, I was so pleased to see blue skies when I awoke. And it stayed that way for the entire day. Warm and sunny with big white puffy clouds. Like I said … perfect.

The wedding was perfect, too. It was wonderful finally meeting Annie. I met up with her and her bridesmaids at a cottage on Harbor Point for some getting ready pictures. The girls looked great in their dresses (I believe someone said they were Vera Wang. Correct me if I’m wrong, girls!). Annie’s dress was gorgeous and she LOVED her shoes. 🙂

It was a beautiful ceremony, the nicest couple – they are so sweet together, wonderful family and friends, gorgeous flowers and details. We had a wonderful time!

Here are a “few” pictures. Enjoy!

Congratulations, Annie and Paul! 🙂

We met at Holland State Park for Janna and Dan’s engagement session and I have to say that the beach was the happening place for photographers on Tuesday night. Lots of people were there taking advantage of the beautiful sunset. The day had been hot and humid so there were tons of people there cooling off, too. We had a lot of fun! Janna and Dan are the nicest people and so very easy to talk to. And they’re such a great couple. So natural together, a perfect fit! They made my job extremely easy! 🙂

TICKLE TORTURE!!!!! 🙂

I had so much fun, you guys! Can’t wait for the wedding!!!! 🙂

Had a beautiful wedding this weekend in Grosse Ile. It was a cool day and we almost thought it might rain with all the clouds rolling in, but it held off long enough for the ceremony and some pictures. Tom and Sheri are really great people and we had a good time with their family and friends. Here are some pictures from their day:

Sheri made her own garter out of the waistband of her aunt’s favorite dress. I love little sentimental touches like this.

The reception was held at Arnaldo’s and it was such a cool place with all the murals and twinkly lights in the ceilings to look like stars. Very fun place for a wedding!

I loved this. Polaroid cameras were left on the entry table and all their guests had their pictures taken and wrote Tom and Sheri a note. A really cool guest book idea.

Sheri has such a pretty smile. 🙂

Congratulations, you two! 🙂

This weekend, my husband Jake and I traveled to Fredericksburg, Texas to shoot Kelley & Chris’s beautiful Hill Country wedding. It was absolutely wonderful. Kelley and I have been friends through our blogs for quite a while so it was awesome to finally meet her and we both felt as if we had known each other for years. 🙂 Kelley and Chris were married at Trois Estate in the shadow of Enchanted Rock and it was a totally unique place for a wedding. A beautiful little courtyard for the ceremony, the reception on the terrace above, interesting buildings all around the property. I took so many pictures and I wanted to share many more than this, but here are a few:

such an interesting place

a few details

that big bald hill in the background is Enchanted Rock. It was really special that they chose this place for their wedding since their first trip together was to Enchanted Rock four years ago. Seems only fitting that they would be married here.

Kelley and Chris, we are so happy for you guys and so happy that we finally met. We had an incredible time getting to know you and your family and we feel so blessed to call you friends. 🙂
