This wedding was extra special for me because it was my sister-in-law and I felt so honored to be their photographer. Everything was just beautiful. It was definitely a family affair for us – I was the photographer, my husband was the officiant, and our children were ring bearer and flower girl. 🙂 Here are a few favorites from the day:

I love this feature of my blog. It’s so fun to hear what bride’s love about their pictures, which pictures are their favorites and why. “I love this pictures of me getting ready … the lighting gives it such a “retro” feel.
“Everyone always comments on this one. She looks so cute peeping out the door at all the guests before the ceremony…she had no idea the photo was being taken, yet it’s so beautiful. It also really shows how pretty the back of her dress was.”
“I didn’t even know that I could look like this. It doesn’t even look like me, but something out of a magazine! It’s my favorite photo of ME that you captured. I remember this moment well, too. It was right before the ceremony, and I was so stressed out. My hair wasn’t doing what I wanted and I was starting to freak out a little because we only had minutes left. And yet the photo turned out so beautiful somehow.”
“This photo of the wonderful man who married us is very special. Plus, he’s one of those who never smiles for the camera and hates to have his photo taken. And yet every shot you got of him looks so distinguised and happy.”
“The posed photo of all of our guests will always be special to me. I love that we have one photo of every single person there for our special day.”

I had so much fun taking pictures of Tom on Sunday evening. His family lives on beautiful property and we took advantage of it. The leaves are just beautiful right now and the light was so nice coming through the trees. Here are a few favorites:
The football team made it to the playoffs this year and they bring along the “spirit bus” and have fun tailgate parties before the games. 🙂
Tom’s nephew came to visit for our session and took a little walk with his uncle. So sweet with his little matching #2. 🙂
I took engagement pictures for Tom’s brother, Dan, earlier this year and will also be photographing the wedding next June, so it was fun to be able to get to know some of the family ahead of time. 🙂
