The wedding last weekend was amazing! Heidi and I had the best time. Reem & Greg are such great people and they really took care of us all day. I could go on and on about their wedding. It was a relaxed kind of day, which are always the best, full of laughter and love, family and friends from near and far (even some as far as the Middle East). We loved the whole day. I even experienced a couple of firsts for me … riding on a trolley and driving a golf cart. 🙂 I think one of my favorite moments was when the couple was announced at the reception. The energy in the room was incredible and the guests clapped in a steady rhythm for several minutes, some even danced a bit. So, instead of going on and on … here are a few pictures from the day. I want to show them all but I will put more into a slideshow and post that soon, too. 🙂 Here they are …

[ Beautiful Reem ]

[ lots of laughter during the ceremony ]

[ the kiss ]

[ the flowers were gorgeous ]

[ beautiful. I just had to comment on this one, too. this looks like a posed shot, but it is not. reem stood holding her flowers while the girls bustled her dress and I captured this shot. this is how I work. I am not one to pose people, it’s not my style, and I will watch for shots like this throughout the day. 🙂 ]

[ riding the trolley to the reception – so much fun! ]

[ I don’t usually post many of the pictures from the family/bridal party picture time, but Reem & Greg are such a great looking couple, I couldn’t resist. I love this one. Posed, but they still look relaxed and so happy. ]

[ the first dance ]

[ singing to each other. so sweet. ]

[ they even brought in belly dancers to show a little of Reem’s heritage. it was really cool to watch. ]

[ love this moment. they were dancing away in a world of their own and I just happened to notice them move under the light. perfect. ]

Congratulations, Reem & Greg! Glad I didn’t run over you guys with the golf cart. 🙂

jessy + erwyn • 9.30.06 | twin gables inn wedding photographer

Back at Twin Gables in Saugatuck last weekend for Jessy & Erwyn’s wedding. I’ve got lots to share today. Wish I could show them all, there were so many fun moments. Here are a few:

Twin Gables!

Jessy was such a beautiful bride. A really pretty girl and so nice.

The top of the piano in the Common Room at Twin Gables was covered with photographs of all of their guests. I think most of them were staying right there at the inn so this was a really cool display for everyone to see.

The dress

The flower girl was so adorable. She had to show me her little Cabbage Patch doll, who was also dressed up for the big day and had a front row seat at the ceremony. 🙂

Seeing each other for the first time. I love how Erwyn was covering his eyes until they told him it was OK to look. So sweet.

Some details. A Hawaiian theme. Complete with dancers! Very fun.

A sweet moment during the ceremony. Looking out at all their family and friends.

These two were SOOO sweet together. Loved all the moments during their first dance.

Slideshow coming soon!
Aloha!

I’ve been looking forward to Christina & Alex’s wedding ever since we met them in April for their engagement session. (HERE is the slideshow of their engagement pics.) They were so nice and easy to talk to and so sweet together.

Their wedding did not disappoint. Here are a few shots from the day:

LOVED all of Christina’s little details.

The kiss

The groom, really happy to be married!

An emotional moment during the best man’s toast

dancing the night away

the reception hall was on the 3rd floor of the Frauenthal Theater in Muskegon. loved the neon lights in the window. went well with their cocktail party atmosphere. a very unique affair.

the album

I’m excited to be working on some clients’ albums in the coming months and I thought I would share a few photos of the album I carry. It’s so hard to really get a feel for how nice these are by looking at a picture, but this will give you a look at some of the details of these books. 🙂

This is the 10×10 leather album

One of the things I love about this album is the way they mount the images on each page and leave this tiny little seam in between so that the album will lay flat when opened.

Have your name and wedding date branded onto the leather cover

The pages are really nice and thick and each is sealed with a protective coating to keep fingerprints and dirt off.

Here is the 10×10 coffee table book

Looks like coffee table books you’d see at the book store – only much nicer! Each comes with a dust jacket and slip cover to protect the book.

The pages are a laminate matte, kind of a silky feeling to them, very nice and the images are extremely sharp.

Contact me for current album pricing.

Jenny & Jim’s wedding yesterday evening was just perfect! An intimate gathering of their closest friends and family at a quaint little B&B in Saugatuck, MI. We had a great time and felt right at home among their guests. I knew when I first met Jenny & Jim that I would enjoy their wedding. They were so nice and easy to talk to. The kind of people you meet and feel like you’ve been friends forever.

Congratulations to the happy couple! 🙂 So happy for you guys. Here are a few details from the day:

[ announcing Mr & Mrs Green ]

[ flowers. flowers. everywhere. they were absolutely gorgeous. the tables were lined with them. they really made the place look beautiful. ]

[ loved jenny’s dress. so simple and elegant. perfect for her. ]

[ such a nice setting for a wedding. a cute little B&B. a tent in the yard. outdoor ceremony. lovely. ]
